2023 Project Wrap-up

This year was one of my proudest in terms of professional achievements. I took some courses, attended some conferences, and kept my mind open to expanding my skills. And then I applied all of that knowledge and skill to my in-house communications position.

So here are some of my favourite projects I’ve worked on in 2023.

2023 Impact Report: Social Media and Digital Campaign

I worked with the Foundation to create a digital campaign to promote its 2023 Impact Report, highlighting some of their grantees and their amazing initiatives.

I used FlippingBook to create a digital copy of the booklet, and then added each story to the website’s Impact blog.

The biggest part of this project was planning a social media campaign, writing all of the copy, designing graphics with alt-text, and scheduling these posts in Sprout Social to post over the course of three months.

Aperio Magazine: Digital Campaign

I developed a digital communications strategy and graphic content to promote the organization’s fifth issue of its magazine, Aperio. It was a great experience to be able to manage the social media campaign from beginning to end, as well as create the e-blast and web version of the magazine.

I used the Foundation’s brand assets and the magazine designer’s visuals to create all social media images and video content, design the eblast to the Foundation’s audiences, and recreate the magazine on its website.

INfinity Prize: Design & Digital Campaign

I developed a digital communications strategy to promote the organization’s INfinity Prize pitch event. It was so rewarding to create digital assets for a prize that celebrates social enterprises that employ neurodivergent individuals.

I used the Foundation’s brand assets to create an invitation graphic, video reels highlighting the three finalists, and images to announce special guest judge, Jim Treliving.

Science Grants: Graphic Design

I developed web graphics and social media content to promote the organization’s Science Grants program. It was so much fun to create digital assets for the Science Grants web pages.

I used the Foundation’s brand assets but was allowed to get a little bit creative with them, and designed banner graphics, social media posts, and other graphics to fill the web pages.

2023 was so full of learning opportunities and creative development.

I cannot wait to see what 2024 brings my way!
