Befriend Your Strengths

I worked with Kelly at Befriend Your Strengths through the Spring of 2022 to help her create her coaching business’s brand. Throughout our time collaborating on this project, I helped Kelly to create her brand identity from the ground up. I helped her design a logo wordmark, colour palette, social media assets, website, brand photography and more!

Keep scrolling to learn more about these projects, and how they work together to promote the Befriend Your Strengths brand.

Mood Board

I started this project by talking to Kelly to learn more about her life coaching business, and then using that information to put together a colour palette and mood board.

Kelly impressed her values of accessibility, using coaching to unlocking your potential and designing a life that reflects your individual strengths rather than trying to fit into the norm; so I used that to build a mood board that would ensure we were both on the same page before building out the rest of her brand assets.

Social Media Assets

Working with Kelly, I helped to plan out her Instagram posts and highlights by designing post templates in Canva that she could use to keep all future Befriend Your Strengths posts on brand, as well as designing highlight icons that would ensure the entire profile would have a cohesive feel.

I wrote captions for the first few posts to get Kelly’s brand off to a good start, and then helped to design highlight slides to help her Instagram act as a website landing page with more information about her business.

Website

Using Squarespace, I put together a basic informational website for potential clients to learn more about Befriend Your Strengths, Kelly’s coaching credentials, and give them a platform to connect with Kelly to book a session.

I designed a homepage that gives general information about Kelly and her services, an About page with more information about Kelly’s coaching experience, a Services page that outlines her services and pricing, and a Blog page that includes articles with deeper dives into her methods.

Brand Photography

I spent an afternoon with Kelly to shoot some brand photos for her website, social media profile photos, LinkedIn pages, and posts for her social pages.

I wanted to capture a variety of photos that she could use for a multitude of things (social media, email marketing, etc.), so we took different styles of photos such as headshots, action shots, and more casual images.

I edited the photo here for Kelly to use as her main business headshot on social, Linktree, etc. that also highlights the blue, pink, and yellow of her brand colours.
