Ch-ch-ch-changes…

It’s been a minute since I wrote on this blog, so I apologize for that. But there have definitely been some big changes on my end since I was last active in July 2021 (again, sorry).

For starters, I got married in September 2021!

Planning a wedding during a pandemic is no easy task. We just had a small gathering of close friends and family, and it was a really lovely Fall day. And then my husband and I moved to a different home shortly after the Big Day.

I also started a new, full-time job. That I was at for a year, before I was let go.

From July 2021 to July 2022, I created social and web content remotely for a startup.

I loved their mission, but to be honest, I felt really icky about the way they conducted their business. When I was let go in kind of a shitty way, I said good riddance and looked for a better opportunity.

And now, since October 2022, I’ve been working in-house full-time with the Azrieli Foundation.

An organization that I love so much, and can get behind completely. I love my team, I have found such great friends in this position.

And I’ve been able to grow creatively and professionally in the ways I’ve always hoped.

So as you can probably guess, it’s been a while since I’ve done any freelance work.

I took on a couple of projects in 2022, but with my current job, I don’t have much free time to take on side gigs. And I don’t entirely miss it. I enjoy the stability. I appreciate the 9-5 life. I love working with and contributing to a great team of people.

Just because I’m not freelancing anymore doesn’t mean I won’t still be sharing my professional journey on this website!

My portfolio will continue to grow. My blog will (hopefully) teach and inspire, as I continue my development in the digital communications and social media space.

Things are changing, but I’m still here.
