Celebrating Women: Newsletter

Year
March 2025

I worked with our Foundation’s Communications team to provide the visuals and layout for March’s International Women’s Day edition of the newsletter.

The old newsletter layouts were very basic, with many jarring black backgrounds and banners with clunky white text. They featured a header image and some images for up to four stories.

With the freedom to revise the layout, I added the Foundation’s coloured branding to the header image, and the name to the newsletter’s title. This way, there was no mistaking who the newsletter was from. Adding a blurb above the Featured Stories section also allowed for some context about the Foundation and the theme of the newsletter stories.

I added two stories per row to communicate the abundance of content visually rather than making readers scroll through endless stories, not knowing when it would end.

The announcements section, with images and graphics, was a great way to engage our subscribers and show them what’s new at the Foundation.

I’m super proud of taking the Foundation’s newsletters to the next level, and can’t wait to continue to make the design even more dynamic and eye-catching.
